Name: Matt
Age: 32
Location/Region of residence: (no addresses please)
Sasebo, Japan
Character Name: Grymey-Hyjal (US)
Level: 110
Class: Warrior
Race: Orc
Alts on this server:
I have no characters on the Oceanic Realms Currently.
Professions:
Alchemy Herbalism
Current Spec: Fury Arms / Protection
End-Game Experience:
Vanilla WoW - Didn't Raid
Burning Crusade - Raided up to first 2 bosses in sunwell
WoTLK: Everything downed 10 Herioc, 25H all but LK
Cata: Everything Killed 10H at content level
Mists: Raided up until 8 heroic bosses into ORG I think
Warlords: Did not play this expansion
Legion: Have not really raided this expansion
I have long raided with a "hardcore" attitude. I am the guy who will do research into his class/spec and the fight in order to maximize performance.
I can be depended on to take additional roles in fights and find creative ways ( i do NOT mean cheating) to use class mechanics to the raid's advantage.
For example, on the Deathwing fight we didn't have enough cooldowns to protect our tank from the last tentacle smash attach, so as a hunter i contrived a macro to have my turtle rush our tank to provide a physical absorption barrier on him.
Mods and Hardware Requirements:
Mumble and a mic? yes
Omen (or Skada) installed? yes
Deadly Boss Mods? yes
Arena/PVP (for those who pvp):
How often do you pvp? More Often Lately but nothing serious
What's your arena ranking? N/A
What's your pvp gear like? The same as PVE now with recent changes!
What is your current (or last) guild? N/A
What are the circumstances of your leaving? N/A
Which other guilds have you played with on the server (please be thorough) =)? N/A
What are your "turn-offs" as far as guilds are concerned? In-action is really the only thing that would concern me, guilds that have people who don't do anything together.
There are many guilds on the server... what brought you to War Machine?
Your attitude towards membership and raiding, along with the times that you raid. My wife and I are in a weird predicament. I am in the American Military stationed in Japan. My wife is also applying to the guild. We're looking for some folks who know the game well and are actively raiding within our time zone and are of course english-speaking.
We don't currently have any characters over there, but we can adjust as necessary.
I have another 110, Demon Hunter, on the Silvermoon server in our original state-side guild, but we do not / can not raid with them due to time zone.
We will be out here for at least another couple years.
What do you feel you provide that makes you a good member?
I am more than happy to help people out and bring my "A" game when the team needs me.
My job is heavily invested with the ideals of leadership, teamwork, and self-sacrifice. I bring experience, maturity, and dedication to the cause.
The drawback with me is that I will gone at least half the time. I am about to return home, but in a little more than a month i'll be gone again.
Towards the latter part of the year (cant be specific) I will have several months of down time where i can consistently raid each week. My wife intends to keep raiding while i am away.
Not the most enticing way to end an application I suppose, but it is honest!
I can try to log into the game tomorrow but otherwise you can speak to my wife, who i understand has already reached out.
