I think 'tardbucket' may become my insult du jour.

Interesting - I'm glad other people out there are able to pull off what we do as far as the casual raiding guild.
All I know is I know hardcore when I'm in it, and I don't like it. I think he hit on an important point - for a guild like ours to work, everyone has to be very CONSIDERATE. That's really what it comes down to I think. It's inconsiderate to waste peoples time, and it's wasting peoples time to not be gemmed, or have enchants, or not repair before the raid, or not bring consumables, or to talk over the raid leader, or....the difference is that in a hardcore raiding guild you get humiliated or even punished for screwing up/off. That's just to much BS for me to put up with, personally.
Anyway, the truth is, if you're reading this you are already a considerate player and a true "raider."
P.S. I thought the idea of coming up with your own strategies was really cool. I've never been the type of guy to go out and buy "the guide." Yeah, it'll take longer, but for folks like me, will give more satisfaction. Who knows, we may even find a better way of doing it.
