Yeah, have to apologize for my crappy dps...
Was trying out dw-frost dps spec. Whilst it's far better than the dw-blood spec I found, it's still a poor second to the unholy awesomeness I usually can put out.
Still it was interesting to try it out, I'd still like to see it work in an instance that's a little less chaotic and has more groups of mobs to help compare it to usual dps numbers.

Actually Apo - looking at the report - check your dps time as against everyone else's. I would imagine that an instant cast 10 sec dot would keep your dps time near 100% in the vortex.
This means of course that your dps (expressed basically damage done during the time you were dps'ing) will be lower, because you can't maintain a high dps cycle during the vortex but you are still considered to be dps'ing.
Want confirmation of this? Consider the other class in the raid that relies on dot's for a portion of their damage - Bad's lock - and you see the same low dps but higher damage done numbers.
Of course the interesting portion of this fight is not included in the report. My recount showed some really interesting numbers for the drake portion. Basically the top 4 people did more than 75% of the total damage done in that phase.

As it turned out in each vortex we had I was still close enough to the boss to cast Icy Touch, Death Coil and Howling Blast's, so I was trying to keep them happening as much as I could.
One thing that is very nice about DK's when being thrown around is that everything is instant cast. So long as you have the runes or the runic power to trigger it.
The downside of course to spinning around is lack of the buff from the exploded sparks, I assume floating above them vertically means we don't get the buff.
Also, a question I had was about the sparks. Do they heal Malygos in any way? I noticed every now and then a spark flying up to him, usually in the transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2. These are usually still in DG range, and can be pulled to the ground, or shot at to stop them reaching him if they do indeed help him at all beyond just dmg increase.

Hi GB, did you get a chance to explore this further, i.e Were they sticking to the 3 combo dps rotation or trying something different? Might be good to understand Phase 3 'best practice' for 25man preparation.

Well I can't speak for Castus and Bad but I was mostly doing 1,1,2 - every probably 3rd or 4th stack was 1,1,1,2
The trouble of course is that you end up chronically short of energy at 1,1,2 - you can't spam that because you end up having to wait for the 2 ability to be available. Hence the 3rd or 4th stack needs to be longer - first it regens energy and second it extends the stack of time of the debuff stack a bit.
