Ever get the feeling when u suddenly decide to stop doing something? Like stop brushing ur teeth after every meal, or stop taking breakfast daily, or stop collecting collectible cards? Well i got that feeling for WoW last night.
I've decided to bid farewell to WoW.
I started playing the game 2yrs ago Dec 06. Joined a nice guild called Silver Light. Stayed with them for a yr before it disbanded. Then I came to know this nice family called War Machine. I think I'm 10mths old in this guild now, and everyday that I log on, I look forward to seeing everyone saying "hi dreamy" with their *smile*, and :}. Raiding and questing with you guys has mostly been smooth sailing and super enjoyable.
If War Machine had dynasties, I think I've been through 2 dynasties with Raks. Never once have i felt left out or truly unhappy, except for the transition period when the guild saw a revamp. But I lived through it nonetheless! I'd like to take this opportunity to bid farewell to as many people as I can remember. I'll split them into 2 parts.
Raks - obviously u've done a very good job with running the guild. Granted it's tough juggling hardcore-raiding and just plain fun, but I believe u've struck the perfect balance. And thanks for accepting me into the guild in the first place.
1st Cycle
Xar - My old friend. U've stopped playing too, haven't u? i guess u felt the same way as what I'm feeling now. Kinda tough to say g'bye to friends even though u've never actually met them. Thanks for showing me that such a wonderful guild existed. And thanks for all the teasing and ur bad english
Heresy - Wassup, warlock with the ugly hair! U were a superb warlord. We'll meet up again sometime soon when I go to malaysia.
Rubbishbin - My singing buddy, my WM idol competitor. I'll always remember us singing that sound of music kid song about our favourite things.
Orynx - omg my fav gremlin. How's darthorynx coming along? Whenever u were online, I knew I was gonna laugh out loud. I'm sure your little gremlins will grow up being as good an entertainer as their dad
Morganna - Pretty feral beauty. How've u been? Always pvping as usual I hope? Make sure u don't break a nail
Jodestar - Hey Ms Summerlovin! Thanks for letting me pass the interview round! U're like the coolest uber chick mage around
Nebu, Avenger, Sixth - Mr split personality. I've enjoyed WoWing with u so much. As much as you bully my gnome, I know u secretly fell in love with it
Kelbaros - Oh man, my sexy thai friend. Where do we start? Well, being my online bitchmate is godsend
Jointhedots, Asmorth - 2 of my oldest friends too. I'm so happy to have met you guys in Silver Light, helping to gear you two was my biggest accomplishment.
Xoo (one of the only ones who've been in WM longer than me, but still going strong! go out there and save more lives!) Merdyn (All hail Merdyn the uber hunter!), Kallie (Uberest shammy whom i always enjoyed the company of), Healthemob (Cutesy bear tank who always wanted to bring his DPS dwarf warrior but never could), Kurima (the MIA diving army man), Aranin (the troublemaker pally), Warexis (I always though u were the guild mascot coz of the name) , Wonderous and Sentrano (loveliest couple ever), Robinhoodie (Still remember ur alt chopinhoodie hehe), Kilborn (The original baldie!!!), Flamewood (the uberest pally tank with a kind heart), Ashaya (the cutest little girl on WoW), omg so many more I can't remember names!! You guys are like the bestest ppl in the world and I hope nothing but good things come your way.
Cycle 2
Aww you guys are just one big bunch of mushy marshmellows that I love so much too. Apollor, Val, Kelleigh, Kelial, Ferek, Quincyx, Dragon, Baddy, Bobby, Greggy, Shifty, Amarel, Feonix, Saffire and Drunken (the couple who brought me so much joy in the game) and all the rest! Everyone made my game so much more memorable.
Oh not to forget all the fun Japanese friends I've made thanks to Raks. Chibiko, Cygma, Lyda baa-chan, Tsuchi-san and Manacat. Thanks for putting up with my bad Japanese!
I'm in tears while writing this long message. It's inevitable that I'll never get to see some of you ever again. I got to know this 60+ nice grandmother who played a hunter called Auryana in my old guild. I don't think I'll ever get to talk to her coz she moved realms and I've no idea where she went to. Thinking about that makes me choke with tears. Friends that I've made along the way in the game are no less friends than those that I've made in real life. I remember all of you, and you'll all always be a part of me.
When my account subscription ends this mid-dec, it marks a full-stop to a wonderful two years of my life. I've been through tough times in real life these past two years, but everytime I log on, my problems go away for a while, and I feel a little warm fuzzy feeling in me.
I really hope to stay in contact with you guys. Help me pass the message around! Add me on facebook or myspace or msn at springwaters10@hotmail.com pls if you can. I'll still log on to the forums or vent to chat with you guys whenver I can.
Life sucks when you have to grow up and make such tough decisions. I'm gonna graduate next semester, and thus I gotta embark on a career. That's why I need to put WoW down and focus. And I will be doing that with a heavy heart always.
I won't be pewpewing or healing with u guys anymore, but that doesn't mean I'm not rooting for u. I'm proud to tell my friends and in future, to the young ones, that I played WoW with a bunch of the world's nicest people in the coolest guild. I truly hope that I'll be part of ur memory even after u guys leave WoW urselves. I guess the true test will be when you guys stop in ur tracks and ask the question "Remember when Dreamy......?"
I love you all. Thanks for giving me such wonderful memories that will last me a lifetime.
Farewell, War Machine.
