from a thread on the wow forums and later on mmo-champion.com said to take your settings *past* what's available in the normal ui I'd recommend setting your texture resolution to 'low' before you do it, just in case.... still looks fabulous on my machine. you can type the console commands or make it in a macro while you're playing: /console groundEffectDensity 256 /console groundEffectDist 140 /console detailDoodadAlpha 100 /console horizonfarclip 2112 /console farclip 777 /console characterAmbient 0 /console smallcull 0 /console skycloudlod 3 here are the commands to set it back to default (if you lose too much fps): /console groundEffectDensity 16 /console groundEffectDist 1 /console horizonfarclip 1305 /console farclip 177 /console characterAmbient 1 /console smallcull 1 /console skycloudlod 1 /console detailDoodadAlpha 1 Here's the msg at mmo-champion with before and after pics: www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?;tpstart=27bigpicture link: static.mmo-champion.com/mmoc/images/news/2008/april/tweakbefore.jpgbigpic: static.mmo-champion.com/mmoc/images/news/2008/april/tweak_after.jpgThe pictures dont really do it justice, but it's easy to try out and revert on your machine while you play.

Very cool.. Takes a FPS hit, but still worth it for the difference

Some thought that this just set your graphics to maximum, when it actually places those sliders and others *outside* what's available in the default ui.
