Ladies and Gentlemen - you have been chosen to compete in the greatest race known to man.
KaraganZA - 8 November 2008 - 9pm server time.
[glow=red,2,300]The Event[/glow]
A 10-man intra-guild race through the easiest content known to man (also Kara).
To win
The two teams will begin standing underneath A'dal in Shattrath City. The winning team will be the first team (note - it must be your complete team) to stand at the summoning stone at the front of Kara. Every boss in the instance must be dead (including the new boss if it is still there). No previously saved raid id's may be used.
The prize
Each participant in KaraganZA will kick 50g into the pot - the winning team will take the prize.
There is also a possibility of a special non-combat pet for the winners - imagine your waiting at the Naxx summoning stone and you decide to lord it over the losers (its the gift that keeps on giving!).
The option
The team which did not win will have a 1 off option to run double or nothing through ZA (note we will run ZA with the same teams anyway - there won't be a gold prize on the ZA run unless the losing team wants to however). The teams will not change. For the 2nd run, the winning team will begin the Kara summoning stone and the losing team will begin at the ZA summoning stone.
The obligatory post match beer - the Fines Master
At the end of KaraganZA we will hold a team 'fines meeting' on the elemental plateau in Nagrand - at which point we will go through everyone who ran in the race and fine them a nominal amount of gold for noobing it up and for saying ridiculous nonsense during the event (pull a loose pack - 2g fine, remarks about dolphin loving - 4g fine etc the amount will be determined by general acclaim and the person appointed Fines Master).
All the gold raised during the fines meeting will go into the gbank.

Captains
I have given much thought to this. Prior to the start of the race anyone who wants to be a captain will need to nominate (via an embarrasing /gchat admission of greatness). We will then /roll - the highest roll and the lowest roll will be the raid leaders (and team captains) for each team. Please don't nominate for captaincy unless you are confident you can triumphantly lead your team to victory.
I am not going to nominate as a Captain. I may heckle and boo the losing captain until my throat is sore however.
Vice-captain AKA First Lady
Each captain can elect a vice-captain before the run (I would suggest calling this person either mini-me or the First Lady). This person will be responsible for helping the Captain with selections and raid leading. In the event that both captains elect the same VC that person can pick who they want.
Team selections
The Captains will both /roll and the highest roll gets to pick first. Remember you are picking the player not the toon - any alt on any of the accounts owned by that player may be brought in at any time. Players are picked one by one until we have 2 full teams.
Vent
Everyone will be on the one vent. Same channel. Heckling will be positively encouraged (remember though you could be fined for crazy or bad smack talk).
Before the start of the race each team will have a very brief period of time to talk tactics in a separate channel. Once the race starts everyone is in the same channel.
Uniforms
If your entire team is in some sort of uniform at the time you stand under A'dal (fyi naked is not a uniform) you will be able to select three players from the opposing team and port / summon them anywhere in the world (and I do mean anywhere - you'll only have 5 minutes to do this though). They will then start wherever they end up.
Festivus feats of strength
These are events that, if you do them in the Kara run, will allow you to port 2 members of the opposition team anywhere in the world for the start of the ZA run. If both teams complete them, both teams can port players (subject to 1 exception - at least 2 players from the losing Kara team must start at the ZA summoning stone).
Remember - screen shots or it didn't happen.
* Clearing the audience in opera.
* Tank one of the bosses without wearing any pants
* Clear a trash pack with everyone in your raid nekkid
* Have a shammy / hunter pet / cloth class tank a boss (from start to finish)
* Have a second game of chess
* Kill any of the animal bosses
* 5 man a boss fight
