End-Game Experience:
I've been raiding since TBC. Raided TBC as a mage and then swapped to a resto druid for Wrath-Cata. The night Firelands hit, after raids, I went into labor with our son and so I missed most of Firelands (sadly, what a great raid) and when I returned we had changed from 25-mans to 10's so I came in as a holy paladin. In Panda, I played a resto shaman for most of it until my husband and I officially took a break from WoW.
We raided 25-mans for most of our end-game raiding experience. We were in the same guild from TBC until Panda. I was put as the guild leader of the guild at the beginning of Wrath, and my husband was raid leader. This was the way of it (and was very much the democracy where we decided things together, which seems to be what you guys do) until I had my son. My husband was overseas at the time so the guild suffered when I had to step away and we swapped to 10's for a time. When I did return, and my husband came back as well, we decided we couldn't lead anymore with a toddler at home (plus many of us were starting to pop out kids at the time, get married, get lives haha) so we went to a 25-man guild as a big group of us in Panda. Eventually though, we just couldn't juggle the hardships of a 25-man team anymore so we took a long-earned break.
When we did raid, it was always heroic raiding. We'd usually finish most, if not all bosses, on heroic. Which I know is the equivalent now of mythic raiding.
Mods and Hardware Requirements:
Mumble and a mic? yes
Omen (or Skada) installed? yes
Deadly Boss Mods? yes
Arena/PVP (for those who pvp):
How often do you pvp? I don't PVP. Not my cup of tea
What's your arena ranking?
What's your pvp gear like?
What is your current (or last) guild? Insurgency
What are the circumstances of your leaving? Unique, but I'm not leaving. Insurgency is on an American server and my intention is to play with my American friends during the day, and my NEW friends, and husband, at night since he cannot raid during the day
Which other guilds have you played with on the server (please be thorough) =)? I have never been on this server
What are your "turn-offs" as far as guilds are concerned? Alliance. JK! Since I won't be leading in any capacity, probably none. People crying about loot bugs me. Or people upset that they need to sit. I look at this as a game for us to enjoy together, otherwise go play a one player game.
There are many guilds on the server... what brought you to War Machine?
Well I was cruising the Oceanic guild forums. What attracted me about your guild was one, it seemed down to earth. We need a guild that isn't going to be too hardcore because that's part of the reason we took a break in 2013. Plus, my husband is military so he won't be here all of the time so we also need a guild where he can raid when he's home and have fun. Or play when he's in port/etc. We needed a mature guild that isn't full of children. I deal with my 5 year old all day, I don't need more whining in my life. Most of what you post in your post is exactly the way the other guild we were in is run. Period. We're loyal people, and just want to be with likeminded folks.
What do you feel you provide that makes you a good member?
I will provide a person who won't bitch and complain. You won't need to hold my hand. If something is wrong, you won't need to sugar coat it with me. Sure, we all have our days, but being that I've been on the leadership for so long, I really try to back off and not be one of THOSE people. I just want to have fun and play the game with my husband, and meet new people. I'm going to work hard on my character now and get them up to speed so that I can do just that.
