Name: Derek
Age: 31
Location/Region of residence: (no addresses please)
Canberra
Character Name: Kithayá
Level: 90
Class: Priest
Race: Human
Alts on this server:
None worth mentioning.
Professions:
Tailoring 600 Enchanting 600
Current Spec: Holy Shadow
End-Game Experience:
I have played on and off since 2005. I have raided a reasonable amount in moderately successful progression guilds in all expansions and vanilla WoW, except for TBC. While I have taken long breaks during this time I have always come back and raided for quite a while during each expansion. I re-joined wow about a month ago, levelled up to 90 and have geared up as quickly as possible. So far this expansion, most of the raiding I have done has been in LFR, except for two runs as a guest in War Machine runs.
Mods and Hardware Requirements:
Mumble and a mic? yes
Omen (or Skada) installed? yes
Deadly Boss Mods? yes
Arena/PVP (for those who pvp):
How often do you pvp? Pretty much never
What's your arena ranking? n/a
What's your pvp gear like? Terrible..
What is your current (or last) guild? Fatal Union
What are the circumstances of your leaving? I have no particular connection to any one in Fatal Union. Also, I really like to raid where possible and that wasn't really much of an option where I was. Oh, and I don't remember the last time I saw a capital letter or a full stop in the guild chat of Fatal Union. I never felt connected to this guild, so I left. The extra experience was nice while levelling, and for that I am thankful.
Which other guilds have you played with on the server (please be thorough) =)? I am currently with Fatal Union. since rejoining wow about a month ago, it has been a year or two since I played seriously. I have also played in Our Mighty Guild and Entity previously.
What are your "turn-offs" as far as guilds are concerned? Disrespectful behaviour. Overly elitist or exclusive raid teams that don't work with the rest of the guild.excessive, pointless, public infighting.
There are many guilds on the server... what brought you to War Machine?
I have friends in War Machine. It is nice to play with friends. The rules and tenets of your guild suit me down to the ground.
I would like to raid where and when possible, but I am not always available and can not sign up for a permanent, no compromise raid spot. Casual raiding a few nights a week, with some flexibility. From what I can see, this may work in your guild.
I like a guild where people get to know each other and there is a sense of community. This also seems to be the case with your guild.
I like the fact that your code of conduct is clearly spelled out from day one.
What do you feel you provide that makes you a good member?
I work hard and take responsibility for gearing myself. I am honest about when I can and can not attend guild events. I do not expect a spot if and when someone more experienced or better geared is available.
I always come repaired, with appropriate food and flasks. I don't go begging people for gold in guild chat.
I like a good laugh, but also believe everyone should be treated with due respect. I avoid guild factions or politics where possible.
