Quite often I hear people talk in raid saying at work this or that or they are leaving for work or have meetings etc - and I always wonder Gee I wonder what jobs our fellow guildies do - outside the digital world Not that we are mages druid warlocks etc in the real world So as I'm nosey if your want to and willing to share. I think it will be fun to hear the different jobs and diversity of people So I better go first Me - I work as the Quality Assurance Manger at a Beverage company - that makes organic juices, and mineral waters and soft drinks etc so can imagine crazy worl of paperwork audits and weird customer complaints So again this might be silly thread but hey could be fun too

you had me at beverages!
I've worked on financial systems as a coder for a few decades. I don't get to write code too much anymore, mainly just database queries, the rest of the time I just tell other people how I want them to do the same job I would have done. I just generally do IT stuff too (with too many meetings).

Admin/data entry - Product Coordinator.
Worked for a small/medium company that sold hands on maths resources for the classroom (dice, counters, base 10.. etc). We sold 4000 products, 1000 of which we manafactured in China. I worked mainly on the manufacturing side: purchasing, product specs... I was bit of jack of all trades, master of none. I taught myself how to use InDesign as we had an in house Graphic Designer, so I had access to all their fancy software which was cool, worked on catalogues, updated product artwork... busy & fun times...
My boss sold his company to the competitor who thought it would be awesome to manufacture their own products, as they never have before, always just bought finished goods... They're in Sydney, Im in Melbourne... they already had a system & workflow in place, I was kinda kept on with no one knowing where I fit or wanting to fit me in...
Now I have no title, my new collogues email me on the rare occasion. I have a desk space in another sister company owned by the parent, but dont work for the company I live at (nice ppl though, still a bit lonely in my corner). I update/create the product labels for manufacturing, so still get to email my suppliers.
In Bizaro land as for a long time I was waiting for the sack... 7mths have gone by now... greatful for an income while I look for a new career.

I am chief information security officer at an aviation firm. If you have flown in Australia, the systems I protect have kept you safe.

Freelance Media Guru - Fancy way of saying I'm unemployed 98% of the time with occasionally making videos or doing audio work for people around the region. Definitely not as exciting as I make it out to be.
