Just starting up a new thread for the upcoming fun times filled year. Please record Nipple of Shame nominations here with your worthy fails. For newer members, if you are unsure if your calibre of fail is worthy, please refer to previous fails for comparison. Here at War Machine, we set a really high standard when we fail. ;D
Good luck avoiding getting your name on this thread.

On November 1, 2012, we were in Mogu'shan Vaults 10man. We spent the night learning the fight for the third boss. We were getting our act down getting close to where we need to be. At the end of the of the night Boomtree (Chilimage), says "Let me throw down a port for you guys!" And then proceeds to put a port down. Little did he know, the spaz ported himself to the Exodar... Well done Boomtree. We didn't expect anything less.

October 31st, LFR run with Legion. As we're approaching Elegon, Bannox starts making fun of Anj's death in the bottomless pit the week before. He was telling him not to do it again, holding up 24 other people. Go forward a few minutes to the last trash pack before the boss. Somehow Bannox falls over the edge to his death, leaving 24 other people waiting while he runs back . I think all of us were having flash backs to his fire tornado how-to guide. Well done Bannox, we wouldn't expect anything less

I don't fail
Ok i have some entries, thoughtfully pointed out by Dak on my huge fails.
Tree used to be tank spec and was still using the tank shoulder enchant, instead of the agi shoulder enchant.
These fails should push Bannox and Anj for the title of Nipple of Shame.

Another mega fail.

I have a nomination!
Pol and I were about to do the new dailies that appeared after 5.1 hit. We both arrived in Lion's Landing, and picked up whatever was available to us. Pol had one yellow exclamation point for a quest that tasked her with going back to Stormwind and talking to an NPC in the new Brawler's Guild. We discussed how we were going to proceed (as I had done the quest a day earlier) and we decided that she should get the quest done, then return and we'd plough through the dailies.
At this point, Pol started looking for a portal to Stormwind. And looking, and looking. Mind you, she's a mage....

8 January 2013
Boom self nomination, non WoW related.
After 3 weeks off work, the much dreaded day of returning to work arrives. So I dragged myself into work in a dark mood, sat down and went through weeks of (mostly) useless emails, plowed through voice messages, returned a couple of calls and finally opened up the roster to check when the first break will be so I could go cry....only to find there a piece of interesting information.
My annual leave INCLUDES 8 Januay 2013!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DOH!!!!!!!
Packed up my stuff, went home, went back to bed. ;D

10 January 2013 Location Mugoshan Vaults
Xere our threatening DK tank along with the not-so-threatening Bannox were plowing through the trash mob before the boss, where Xere apologised for his excessive threat generation.
Shortly after, a question came up by Xere, "was I hard to heal?". Healers collectively said nothing. "I was still wearing my dps gear.", said Xere.
Not sure if this Nipple of Shame nomination should go to Xere for his attire fail or if Blizzard should get it for the OPness of DKs.

Event 1 - thank you Rul for gracing us with your presence on thread, representing our new members coming over from Legion as the first to stamp his mark here. Much like Olandis, Rul had an issue dodging the MASSIVE EXPLODING WITH SUPER EYE CATCHING GRAPHICS. Initiated by Jay, we mourned his passing with a group teabag ceremony. We are certain that by the time Rul got the rez, he felt like a used....
Event 2 - oldie but a goodie, Ancient Dalaran portal strikes again, congraulations again Rul, and also Anj.

Date: 02/03/13 Location: Heart of Fear A new comer to this thread, welcome Gim. Our inspirational healer, always setting the par for leetness, decided that the Wind Lord wind tunnel phase just ins't hard enough. To make things more interested, Gim runs almost half way through the hallway of windly death, hears the call to take the lock teleporter to ADVANCE faster, and clicks the nearby portal to teleported back where he started from so that he gets another go.....<facepalm> To his credit, he was probably setting a higher par of leetness by making it to the other end anyway.

OMG OMG OMG! Another Gim entry!!!!
On the most successful progression raid night ever (we didn't know this at the time), we managed to kill Grand Empress Shek'zeer after a few pretty good attempts. With her dying breath, just as Bannox was about to land the killing blow by sitting on Xere's shoulders to head butt her to death, she unleashes one final ability that is a hurtie hurtie over time fear move before going down in a heap.
We "whoop"'d and "woot"'d at our success, congratulated each other on a job well done, mages and their mirror image dudes huddled together (no doubt speaking ill of healers asking them to move out of bad stuff) and checked out the phat lewtz left behind by the baddie bad bad empress.
From the corner of the room, voice still cool, calm and collected, "no dispel?". Gim is on the other side of the room, still running around feared, as Matt ran over to Gim as quickly as his dwarf legs were willing to carry him, we see Gim drop to the ground, stone cold dead.
Cause of death: Health dropped below 1

I thought I'd put my own name in the hat here since it's only a matter of time before someone else does!
Heart of Fear 30/3/13
On Wind Lord Mel'Jarak, whilst in the final phase, This illustrious mage, your one and only (and thank the lord for that) Rulthariuz made an attempt to avoid the whirling blades of doom from causing the healers any extra stress. The avoidance of the whirling blades of doom is normally an approved move for anyone doing this fight, the resulting chaos came from the method used.
In direct contravention of Point 5 in Rul's Standard Operating Procedures, Blink was used to avoid the blades... Except exactly 20 yard away in the direction of movement was one of our beloved Wind Bombs... The sudden appearance of a mage within it's activation circle cause the bomb to explode, wiping the raid!
Thus reinforcing point 5... Blink is lethal, avoid if possible!

Date: 04/04/13 Location: Terrace of Endless Spring (on Soph's map, I think this place is called Steps of Bottomless Wintergrasp, but only on every second Thursday)
On last boss, struggling a little, healers working really hard to keep us alive, dps are trying their best to keep up with enrage timer, tanks...well, they were there. ;D
Mid-fight of yet another attempt, Zuzu pipes up, "man, I gotta self nominate for a Nipple of Shame....no frost presence.".
As if the team had an unspoken arrangement to really drive that point home, boss was downed with minimal fuss the very next pull.
As Dak would say....Minus 50 DKP!!!!! LOL

Good things happens in threes, Gim got himself here yet again. Now I was not there to witness this, but hearing it over Mumble without the visuals somehow made it even funnier.
The raid struggled a little with keeping up with enrage timer that night, so there's been a few toon switches to stack a bit more dps. Yet another switch was needed, Tree, ever considerate, runs back to the entrance for a summon to speed up the process. When he arrived at the summoning stone, he realised he was alone out there and asked for assistance.
Shortly after, Gim arrives as requested to help summon, only to have Tree question his knowledge. "Why are you summoning out here? You're a lock.".
Gim, please learn your core role on your lock, dish out lock candy and organise travel arrangements. ;D

The cause of this fail is still unknown. However, the scale of this fail is extraordinary. Observing this fail from afar, there was actually no reason to fail in this manner, but the fail was committed nonetheless. Dak failed so hard that everyone's fail detectors in the zone detected max failing shortly before blowing up. There were reports of fail detectors malfunctioning in Exodar at the time of occurrence.
After dispatching the last of the trash, Garalon was doing his standard QQ sequence and the rest of us were backing away to the steps in our standard manner.....all but Dak, who was charging at the boss' spawn location and of course have the boss spawn right on top of him.
When confronted with our description of his fail, Dak said something about doing it on purpose and something about trying something. I personally couldn't see anything to try there, other than perhaps looting greys off trash corpse, granted I had my back turned the moment I saw him heading that direction and watched the rest of it through a block of ice. Bannox at that moment also made a good point, failing on purpose is even more fail.
For the sake of enlightenment, what the hell were you "trying"?

Question, where has Bannox been on this thread?
Granted he committed righteous fail, again, last night, which to be honest happens so often that it's not really worth mentioning on this thread anymore.
Keep an eye on him guys, I think he is getting sneaky with his fails. Trying to keep a low profile. ;D

For the sake of enlightenment, what the hell were you "trying"? Whether the boss was a proximity pull or a hit pull. I was looting the corpse underneath him.

New Entry!! Depending on your point of view the nominee is either myself (for being an a-hole) or Rul (for being gullible ). While donating some time towards getting Zemui to 90, I finally managed to catch an off-guard Rul with a portal to Ancient Dalaran at the end of a normal 5-man, on the other side of which he plunged magnificently to his death. I then proceeded to also follow the portal, float down and resurrect him (I'm not a complete a-hole after all...). Nothing too shameworthy in that I hear you posit - ah, but wait dear reader. Upon resurrection, I produced another portal purporting to point (check the alliteration!) to the illustrious vale, upon which Rul promptly popped into it and, accompanied by my gales of hearty (I'm a big fella, hearty is an appropriate description) laughter over mumble, proceeded to fall directly towards me from the heavens in a very Tyrael-ish from Diablo 3-esqu fashion, and die again at my feet. I do believe this is the first time I've killed the same guy within 60 seconds from 2 separate portals, the second while I watched him die. It's gotta be some sort of achievement surely. And if it's not, it should be Cheers Rob
