Hi! Welcome to the guild!
By this point you will have been accepted into the guild and need to know what you need to get started. First of all remember this guild is based on teamwork and we like guildies who do for themselves, and for each other . Here are a couple of things you should look into to get yourself up to speed.
Mods
There are some ui mods considered mandatory to come to our events or even instance with us. The primary ones are Ventrilo, Skada (or Omen), and Deadly Boss Mods, and they are all outlined here livyatan.proboards55.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1178583815
Raid and Event Participation
If you're interested in raiding and want to attend our events, there are a few simple rules. You must bring your own consumeables (potions, buff foods, weapon oils, reagents, etc.), sign up, and be prompt. Failure to do any or more than one of these may result in a missed raid opportunity or even a lost slot for a while. Raid scheduling and sign ups are handled via the in-game Calendar.
Gearing Up
End game raiding requires better and better gear for the event to be completed. Make sure you've geared yourself for a specific event by checking the minimum raid specs. If you can't find the data, ask the Raid Leaders for info.
A fantastic(!) site for determining whether you're missing a gem, enchant or bonus you should have on your gear is be.imba.hu/ This site also recommends where your gear in it's current status could be best utilized by the guild. If you're just looking for an upgrade or two, a recommended site is Caliban's Loot List at www.wow-loot.com showing which items are available from which bosses/instances.
Likewise you need to know the fights for the bosses we are clearing. Each attempt someone is learning something that they didn't research is really just wasted time for the other members present. A great way to learn boss fights is to check youtube for videos on the bosses by name and 'tankspot' (i.e. tankspot lich king). Another great place to read up is www.bosskillers.com
This amount of research is a minimum for an invite to raid encounters. The best players often read the wow class and/or raid forums (and more) as well.
If you have questions, grab your class leader or an officer and they'll be happy to help .
